BERNARD GALLAY Yacht Brokerage burst onto the Brokerage scene in 1994, having been established by Bernard Gallay and Philippe Meylan, an accomplished sailor and a reputable lawyer respectively.
The aim was to cater for the clientele within the yachting world, managing the purchasing and selling of motor, cruising and racing yachts. BGYB, having well accomplished this, now sells a wide range of yachts to a wide range of clients.
Furthermore, within only 4 years of the company's creation, BGYB became in 1998 a member of the MYBA, Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association, to which the most important international brokerage companies throughout the world belong.
In 2005, BGYB decided to introduce both Yacht Charter and Yacht Management to the business, thus broadening the range of business on offer.
Year on year, BGYB has been opening up offices worldwide. In 2007, an office in Moscow was opened, forming a partnership with Oscar Konyukhov, the son of Russian sailor Fedor Konyukov.
Following on from this successful partnership, offices have been opened throughout the world, linking BGYB to reputable sailors and yachtsmen including Philippe Monnet (Monaco), François Boucher (Paris), Nicolas Marchand (Montpellier), Stéphane Della (La Ciotat), Jean-Yves Candelot (Palma), Richard Szyjan (Grenada), Lisa Spiller (Montpellier), Bruno Gallien (Montpellier) and Thierry Barrot (Hong Kong).
