Specification EARLY PURPLE

Comment :

Since 2006, the Swan sailing yacht EARLY PURPLE has been in the same private ownership, with the same skipper to this day. She has sailed to amazing places, taking part in a few regattas, and has done a small amount of fully crewed chartering. She is totally MCA compliant and registered as a “small commercial vessel”, to allow for some charters. Both her owners and her skipper have ensured that she has been maintained to meticulously high standards, and looks immaculate. She is much loved, and admired for her beauty wherever she goes.

EARLY PURPLE is a fantastic boat that loves to sail. Prior to 2006, EARLY PURPLE, or Ciao Bella as she was then called, had just one owner from her birth in 2002, and she was highly successful as a prestigious charter yacht, in the USA, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. At build stage in Finland, EARLY PURPLE (Hull no 025) , although in the Swan 60 category, was extended in the Transom area , so in reality she is 65 ft LOA.

This has allowed extensive lazarette storage, and a generous deck area behind the 2 wheels, with the benefit of 2 hatch openings to the lazarette. This has also meant there was sufficient space to add two very popular pushpit seats in the aft deck area (both with cushions and backrests). This area has proved one of the most popular places to be when sailing, due to the space which other boats in the 60 class do not have. EARLY PURPLE was very highly specified to be a performance cruiser but also to be easily sailed. She has a carbon fibre rig with Park Avenue style boom, hydraulic headstay furler, together with electric winches (for the genoa sheets, main sheet and a halyard winch). For improved maneuverability at port she has a bow thruster.
