Sales Contracts

All our contracts are in French or in English:

  • Sales contracts (MYBA Central Agent type or Open)

  • MYBA type sales agreements

  • Sales deeds

Based on the customs and methods at the Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association (MYBA), of which BGYB has been a member since 1996, the broker's role can take one of the two following forms:

  • as a Central Agent responsible for managing the entire sale of the boat. This entails placing the advertisements in the press, preparing the detailed description, transmitting the information to other brokers, representing the owner in the final transaction with the buyer or the buyer's representative.

  • as an "Open" agent, concurrently with other brokers assigned on the same basis.

The Central Agent's role is his duty to the ship owner much more than it is a privilege. Working with a Central Agent means avoiding confusion during the sales process. The clarity of a Central Agent avoids different prices stated by different brokers, erroneous descriptions, repeated advertisements in the same journal, or on the contrary, absence of advertisements. A Central Agent's role clarifies and encourages relations among brokers.

Through ongoing exchange among the brokers at the MYBA and with many other correspondents throughout the world, BGYB ensures a wide audience for the boats which it represents.

BGYB monitors the sale throughout the entire sales process, ensuring maximum security for both the seller and the buyer.

BGYB always makes its best effort to provide an objective opinion on the value and the real condition of the boats. This is good for the seller, who is not exposed to an endless sales process, and good for the potential buyers, who avoid wasting time.
