Sicily

With its unique culture in arts, music and architecture, the largest Mediterranean Island is an ideal destination for yacht charter. As well as seeing the island from the sea, you can explore and discover having set foot on dry land. This stunning volcanic destination offers the best of Mediterranean climate- hot and dry summers. The cruising area is normally the north coast and around the Lipari Islands, though of course BGYB offers the opportunity to explore other areas of this large island depending on preference.

WHEN TO GO: MAY-OCTOBER

Day 1 & 2
Arrive in the beautiful town Palermo, on the north coast of Sicily. With a dense history of occupation from diverse cultures, this charter destination has many things to see and do.
Day 3
After having left Palermo the previous evening, you will reach Alicudi, one of the western islands of the archipelago of the Lipari Islands. You will be able to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding from the top of Mount Filo dell'Arpa. This fishing island, with only 120 inhabitants, is perfect to relax in total peace and tranquility.
Day 4
Your charter then takes you to Lipari. Enjoy the stunning scenes of this island and the unequalled geology of the island. Lipari is also covered with archeological remains, and an incredible cathedral.
Day 5 & 6
After stopping by Messina, a long sail will take you through the beautiful straits of Messina, which is the narrow passage between the eastern tip of Sicily and the southern tip of Calabria. Enjoy the cruise, stopping by whenever you wish to enjoy small, reclused cays.
Day 7
Your charter will end in the charming town of Toarmina. Toarmina is famous for its greek and roman origin, architectually and culturally, with many famous monuments, the most notable of which are the ancient theatre and the odeon.
