The latest Southern Wind 94 ‘WINDFALL’ combines luxury and comfort with cutting edge technology and performance in a way that has rarely been seen before.

Performance sport is clearly the core of this yacht but she is equally proud of her cruising comfort. The intelligent and beautiful collaboration between Southern Wind Shipyard, Reichel Pugh and Nauta Design has resulted in a sense of great comfort and security whilst sailing.

Everything on board speaks of quality and innovation but the clean, sleek lines underpin the design philosophy. The result is a true sense of understated luxury whether it be for sunbathing, sunset dinners or high-octane regattas. This versatility and all-round performance makes WINDFALL a truly exceptional yacht.

She can accomodate 8 guests in 4 cabins (1 double, 2 twin with a pull-down bunk, 1 single) and her dedicated crew of 4 will ensure a first rate charter experience.

Beginning with the Maxi Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, Sardinia, she won three first place positions, awarding her the title of the Rolex Prize Winner! During the following weeks, she then sailed in at fourth place at Les Voiles de St Tropez, missing third position by the skin of her teeth.

Now, despite the Mediterranean superyacht racing season is over, it's all a-go for the Caribbean.
WINDFALL is set to participate this winter in the RORC Transatlantic, the Loro Piana, the St Barth's Bucket, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Caribbean Cup and Les Voiles de St Barths.

S/Y WINDFALL is participating in Les Voiles de St Tropez 2015

The unique gathering of hundreds of yachts of all ages and all eras in the bay of Saint Tropez, is preparing to celebrate its fifteenth consecutive year in style. Sailors, skippers and boat owners will once again flock to Les Voiles from 26 September to 4 October for one final race of the year within the very special context of the little port in France’s Var region.

Three hundred yachts will be on the water for an ‘haute couture’ procession, gathering together nearly a century and a half of naval architecture and maritime genius. On show will be the most beautiful boats, the greatest sailors and the most unexpected crews, who come together in their love of beautiful yachts – ancient and modern alike – and delight at seeing them being sailed superbly in an atmosphere of fairplay and conviviality. Such has been the vision of ‘made in Saint Tropez’ yachting every year since 1999.The grand festival of yachting!

BGYB are delighted to announce that this year, S/Y WINDFALL is participating in this famous regatta.

Southern Wind 94 WINDFALL achieves an outstanding second place in the first edition of the RORC Transatlantic Race 2014!

BGYB are delighted to announce that the Southern Wind 94 WINDFALL displayed an outstanding performance during the first edition of the RORC Transatlantic Race 2014, arriving in second place.

Captain Fabrizio Oddone and his dedicated permanent crew, along with the valuable assistance of the crew boss Lorenzo Mazza, managed to lead the fleet from the very start of the race. The yacht engaged with the Baltic 78 LUPA OF LONDON throughout the race, until just a few miles before the finish line.

WINDFALL eventually completed the race arriving in second position in elapsed time, and first in IRC Zero Class ahead of the Volvo 60’ SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE.

The Russian sailing team 'High Spirit' was assisted by a professional crew, provided by the Southern Wind Sailing Academy. Three members of the 'High Spirit' team were also later awarded the Yacht Ocean Master at the end of the race.
