Antigua 360: Racing Around the Island

The Antigua 360 forms the final race of the 2027 RORC Nelson’s Cup Series. Organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club in association with the Antigua Yacht Club, the race takes crews on a complete circumnavigation of Antigua after several days of racing off English Harbour. IRC yachts and MOCRA multihulls can take part, while CSA-rated yachts are also welcomed specifically for the Antigua 360. The 2027 race is scheduled for Friday 19 February.

Why Race the Antigua 360?

What Is the Antigua 360?
The Antigua 360 is a complete racing circumnavigation of the island of Antigua. Unlike the shorter courses used earlier in the Nelson’s Cup Series, it requires crews to manage a longer race and adapt as conditions change around the island’s different coastlines.

Why Race Around Antigua?
The course exposes crews to different wind angles and coastal conditions within a single race. Caribbean trade winds, the shape of the island and the changing conditions along its coastline create a challenge where outright speed must be combined with tactical decision-making and consistency.

Which Yachts Can Race the Antigua 360?
The race welcomes IRC yachts and MOCRA multihulls competing in the Nelson’s Cup Series. CSA-rated yachts are also invited to join the fleet specifically for the round-the-island Antigua 360.

How Does It Fit into the Nelson’s Cup?
The Antigua 360 takes place on the final day of the RORC Nelson’s Cup Series and brings the programme to a close. Following the racing around Falmouth and English Harbour, crews face a complete circumnavigation of Antigua on 19 February 2027.
