Built in 1997 by the renowned New Zealand shipyard Sensation Yachts, MARI CHA III is a 44.72-metre auxiliary high-performance ketch designed for offshore sailing. Naval architecture by Philippe Briand and interiors by John Munford Design create a bespoke 147ft super maxi blending advanced composite technology, impressive speed and refined comfort. Currently located in Palma, Spain.

Built by Sensation Yachts, a benchmark in advanced composite yacht construction, MARI CHA III benefits from cutting-edge structural expertise. Her lightweight yet robust build enhances offshore capability. She stands as a true custom super maxi.

 

Philippe Briand Naval Architecture

Designed by Philippe Briand, this 147ft auxiliary ketch showcases powerful and elegant lines. Her naval architecture optimises sailing efficiency and stability. She delivers remarkable offshore performance potential.

 

Southern Spars Carbon Rig

Her Southern Spars carbon rig supports an impressive sail plan of approx. 1,000 sqm upwind and 1,680 sqm downwind. This configuration ensures high-level sailing performance. It maximises speed and adaptability in varied wind conditions.

 

Refined Interior by John Munford

The yacht accommodates 4 guest cabins (Owner, Double, Twin, Bunk) and 3 crew cabins for 6/7 crew. Interior spaces are designed for comfort and practicality. Ideal for extended offshore cruising.

 

Comprehensive Technical Equipment

Powered by a Caterpillar 600 HP engine (11 knots cruising / 14.8 knots max), she features two Northern Lights generators (40 kW & 14 kW) and AQUA AIR reversible air conditioning. ABS hull certificate, Cayman Islands flag.
