Spirit of Tradition Yacht: WHITEFIN

WHITEFIN, a 27.43 m (90 ft) Spirit of Tradition sailing yacht, was designed by Bruce King and launched in 1983 by Renaissance Yachts in Camden, Maine. She combines the elegance of classic yachts with the modernity of 1980s wooden racing yachts. Her modern keel and generous sail plan have allowed her to excel at the most important regattas in her class. WHITEFIN accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins, with 2 cabins for crew.

A Bruce King Design

Designed by Bruce King and built in 1983 by Renaissance Yachts, WHITEFIN is among the fastest wooden yachts of her generation, combining agility, lightness and grace.

An Outstanding Racing Record

This Spirit of Tradition sailing yacht has won trophies at the most prestigious regattas in her class, such as the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Porto Cervo, the Trofeo Panerai in Imperia and Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez.

A Cold-Moulded Cedar Hull

The hull is built from six layers of solid wood, mainly cedar, bonded with WEST SYSTEM epoxy: an exceptional method of construction, carried out with the highest level of craftsmanship.

An Extensive Refit

WHITEFIN has benefited from a major refit, including new electronics, lithium batteries, new hydraulic furlers and serviced standing rigging.

A Wood-Panelled Interior

The saloon's fine woodwork features a brass fireplace and a piano. She accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins, plus 4 crew in 2 cabins.
