A Look Back at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival
From 8–13 September, the BGYB team moved between the Vieux Port, Port Canto and the Bay of Cannes. From the Sunreef ULTIMA 88 world premiere to yacht visits, a Lagoon evening and a day under sail aboard VANTANERA, here are our highlights from Cannes Yachting Festival 2026.
BGYB at Cannes Yachting Festival 2026
For six days, Cannes once again became the centre of the international yachting world. With more than 710 boats and yachts and over 680 exhibitors announced across the Vieux Port and Port Canto, the 2026 edition gave the BGYB team the opportunity to discover new models, reconnect with partners and crews, and move from the docks to the water. From the world premiere of the Sunreef ULTIMA 88 to a day under sail aboard VANTANERA, via SWAGGER at anchor, a tour of the historic SS DELPHINE and a Lagoon evening centred around the EIGHTY 2, these were the standout moments from our 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
Highlights from Cannes Yachting Festival
World premiere of the Sunreef ULTIMA 88
Our week began with one of the most anticipated debuts at the show: the world premiere of the Sunreef ULTIMA 88. Presented in the Vieux Port, the yacht takes the ULTIMA range to a new scale, combining automotive-inspired styling, generous living spaces and a top speed of 26 knots. Aft, the Ocean Lounge, fold-down side terraces, hydraulic platform and large garage create a waterside area designed around an active lifestyle. The premiere offered a first look at a new generation of high-performance luxury catamarans from Sunreef Yachts.
SWAGGER at anchor off Cannes
Away from the activity of the pontoons, SWAGGER provided a different perspective on the show while lying at anchor in the Bay of Cannes. The 37m Holland Jachtbouw sloop, designed by Dixon Yacht Design, combines an Alustar hull, carbon rig, teak decks and a John Munford Design interior. Maintained through successive refit programmes up to 2024, she is currently offered for sale through BGYB at €6,850,000.
Stepping into history aboard SS DELPHINE
One of the week's most memorable visits was aboard SS DELPHINE. Built in 1921 for automotive pioneer Horace Dodge, the 78.50m yacht is the world's last fully operational steam-powered yacht, still driven by her original steam engines. Returning to charter following more than five years of restoration and refit work, including an intensive final 18-month refit completed in July 2026, she has been carefully refurbished while retaining the historic furnishings that give her interiors their unique character. SS DELPHINE will be available for charter in the Western Mediterranean for summer 2027.

A Lagoon evening and the EIGHTY 2
An invitation to Lagoon's evening event also gave the BGYB team the opportunity to step aboard the Lagoon EIGHTY 2. The flagship catamaran measures 24.97m overall with an 11m beam and is built around generous spaces connected directly to the sea. A flybridge of almost 50m², an aft platform extending to as much as 22m² and a main saloon with panoramic 360° views create an impressive sense of space. Naval architecture is by VPLP Design, with exterior styling by VPLP and Patrick Le Quément and interiors by Nauta Design.
A day under sail aboard VANTANERA
The week ended exactly where a yacht show should: out on the water. A light breeze off Cannes provided particularly pleasant conditions for a day sail aboard VANTANERA, our 30.60m Wally 93. The crew's passion for the yacht was infectious, and the charter brokers on board were delighted to experience her performance away from the dock. Extensively refitted in 2025 and sailed by Ocean Race veterans, VANTANERA will be available in the Caribbean this winter for both private cruising and regatta charter programmes.
