A Caribbean Charter Community

The Antigua Charter Yacht Show once again proved to be a key gathering for the international charter community. Set in Nelson’s Dockyard, Yacht Club Marina and Falmouth Marina, the event brought together brokers, managers, crew and industry partners for yacht viewings, professional exchanges and networking across several days. The programme was jam-packed, involving a full schedule of briefings, competitions and marina activity. With yachts displayed across multiple locations and a series of social events fostering meaningful connections, the show stood out for its vibrant atmosphere, thanks to strong attendance and smooth organisation.

Highlights from the Show

  • - Over 60 yachts were exhibited, with 250 yachting professionals in attendance. BGYB was pleased to be represented by 5 of our finest brokers, there to make connections with crew, and to ensure exceptional charter standards.
  • - Audrey Lucas and Nicolas Marchand presented the 65m Schooner replica ATLANTIC and the 32m Alloy Yachts Sloop ABUNDANCE, both of which are currently undertaking exciting world tours.
  • - Lola Garnier took care of TESNI, a modern and innovative Sunreef 80 Power Eco Catamaran.
  • - Lou-Andréa Guichard and Henry Hughes were there to explore other yachts and to forge meaningful connections with fellow brokers.
  • ABUNDANCE and TESNI welcomed brokers and professionals on board for intimate lunches. This was a unique opportunity to meet the crew and to experience life as a charter guest.
  • - ATLANTIC had the busiest schedule of BGYB's yachts, with a lunch, cocktail reception and sail day. To read more, see her dedicated article.
  • - The brand new Sunreef 80 A-PLAN may not have been an official participant of the show, but she was nonetheless displayed in Falmouth Harbour and welcomed many a visitor into her brand-new interior. We cannot wait to see what she has in store for the season ahead.
  • - The final day consisted of a 'Day Sail', where the BGYB team divided between various boats to meet their crews and to experience true life on board. Henry had the privilege of stepping aboard SHEERGOLD, a classic 42m motor yacht, perfectly suited for adventure and exhibition. Lola took on WINDROSE OF AMSTERDAM, a 46m schooner, open to options in the South Pacific, Mediterranean or Northern Europe in 2026.
  • - 'Informative Hour' every morning provided insight on a variety of pertinent subjects. From crew well-being to delivering personalised itineries, each session was useful, engaging and enlightening.
  • -Evening social events were where the community network really flourished. The first night kicked off the show with the Sundowner's Evening at Boom Restaurant. Day two was the Welcome Networking event, with a Caribbean supper and live music. The 5 days drew to a close with the ACYM After Show Party, where brokers said farewell to a successful show.

The BGYB Team returns with new knowledge, professional connections, and an excitement for the winter season ahead. We look forward to hopefully returning to the golden shores of Antigua in 2026.
