Held in Sanremo, the MYBA Charter Show brought together leading figures in luxury yachting. Three BGYB brokers attended to inspect yachts, meet crews and evaluate onboard standards, ensuring precise, first-hand knowledge to support tailored charter recommendations.
Success in Sanremo
The MYBA Charter Show continues to serve as a central meeting point for professionals across the luxury yachting sector. Bringing together over 2000 industry professionals, the event provides a structured environment to assess the charter market in real conditions. BGYB was represented by three brokers (Audrey Lucas, Lou Guichard and Lola Garnier) who spent several days visiting yachts and engaging directly with crew members. These visits allow for a detailed evaluation of each unit, from technical condition and layout to service standards and culinary offering. This first-hand approach remains essential in maintaining a reliable and current understanding of the industry's charter fleet.
Event Highlights
Breakfast Visits
Morning visits were conducted on board three yachts, offering insight into how different crews structure the start-of-day experience, including service flow, presentation and guest comfort. BGYB had the privilege of stepping on board ELLEN, ANIMA and AURELIA.
Lunch Assessments
To broaden coverage, the team attended lunches across eleven yachts. This enabled a comparative view of onboard gastronomy, crew coordination and overall service consistency across various yacht categories.
Cocktail Events
Evening events provided a different perspective, focusing on atmosphere and guest interaction. Several cocktail receptions and tastings were attended, offering a clearer sense of how yachts deliver social experiences in a charter context. LA DOLCE VITA, OVER THE RAINBOW OF LONDON, LUCKY YOU and SEAWOLF X all welcomed us for cocktails, and PENGUINS organised a 'Wine and Champagne Tasting'.
