With a record-breaking 304 exhibitors, the 42nd edition of the Palma International Boat Show confirmed its reputation as a major event in the yachting calendar. Among the standout yachts presented by BGYB was NOMAD IV, a high-performance 30.5m sailing yacht designed by Finot Conq and built by Dolphin Yachts. NOMAD IV’s participation in the show came about unexpectedly. Initially not scheduled to be exhibited, BGYB was informed just a few days before the show that a berth had become available. The crew responded with remarkable efficiency, preparing the yacht in record time and setting sail for Palma. The journey was fast-paced, with NOMAD IV achieving striking speeds thanks to her racing pedigree.
Once in Palma, the final preparations were quickly completed - including the delivery of fresh flowers to add a warm, welcoming touch.
Conceived for offshore racing, NOMAD IV combines sailing prowess with onboard volume. Her broad beam, high freeboard, and vast sail area give her outstanding capability at sea, while features like a lifting keel and lateral ballasts contribute to excellent stability. She notably won the RORC Transatlantic Race in 2015, setting a monohull record that remains unbeaten.
