OUFTI 40 was fully upgraded to Mach 40 V2 configuration in 2018, including structural work, new ballast systems, rigging, and electronics. In 2022, the Volvo engine underwent a full overhaul with a new folding propeller and hub installed. This comprehensive refit ensures long-term performance, reliability, and safety.
The navigation setup includes two independent NKE autopilot systems with gyrocompasses and dual ST6000 rams. It’s completed by four repeaters (Gyrographic & Multigraphic), a Garmin Fantom18 radar, AIS Class B, Garmin GPS 722, an electronic barometer, and FleetBroadband satellite communication with OceanBox. A complete, regatta-level system ready for serious offshore campaigns.
