The BGYB Sales Department have seen an incredibly fast start to 2019, result of BGYB’s strong marketing in 2018. We exhibited a total of 10 yachts between the Palma Superyacht Show, La Grande Motte Multihull Boat Show, Cannes Yacht Festival and Monaco Yacht Show.
The Episode 22 presents an overview of the Autumn 2018 yacht market and also all our boats for sale and available for charter.
The Episode 21 presents the BGYB Open Day on the 1st June in Antibes which aims to maximize the visibility of the luxury sailing yachts available for charter with us, or with our partners. Invited brokers will even have the chance to sail and have lunch onboard our yachts.
BGYB is working on the development of a Yacht Management service and currently manages motor and sailing yachtsbetween 60 and 135ft. Our Palma office is also expanding; working through an intermediary, Morgane Candlot, who has contributed to our charter activity.
Business activity has remained stable although the market quietened towards the end of 2016, with market tendencies for 2017 likely to remain uncertain until the Palma Superyacht Show 2017, where we will exhibit two very impressive sailing yachts: 104ft OCEAN’S SEVEN2 and 83ft WALLY ONE.
2016 has been highly successful for the BGYB Charter Department, with a marked increase in the number of confirmed charters, and 20% more days of charter across our fleet than in the previous year.
As a company always looking for opportunities for growth, BGYB is delighted to announce the extension of its network to Switzerland, thanks to its new partnership with Schmidt Yachting.
BGYB is pleased to finish this 2014 with 4 sales : 105ft M/Y Classic SPREZZATURA, M/Y Morgan 70 MATHIGO, S/Y Swan 65 CASSIOPEIA and S/Y Racing Imoca 60 DCNS.
With the acquisition of many new yachts for sale, most notably the 157ft Luxury Motor Yacht CHANTAL, the magnificent 118ft SY Maxi Dolphin Sloop VIRIELLA and the amazing 60ft Day Sailing Yacht CIAO GIANNI, 2014 has been exciting as we continue to add significant Central Agency signings, a feat that bears testimony to BGYB’s influence on the global yacht market.
2014 will see the brand celebrate 20 years since its creation. Some noteworthy events have already distinguished this anniversary, such as the new central agency listings, MARI-CHA III, for sale, and NOMAD IV, for charter.
A positive first eight months allows us to believe that the year will end well and that we will continue to achieve a healthy amount of sales during the final quarter of 2013.
Despite the brokerage market down of 25% in value terms, BGYB were able to profit from a string of large yacht sales : 50 m luxury motor yacht SHANDOR and 33 m highperformance cruising catamaran SWIFT.
In recent months, the company has secured impressive sales, such as the 24m custom built motor catamaran SONG SAIGON, after having been presented at the Antibes Yacht Show in April 2012, and the 65ft Nautor’s Swan EARLY PURPLE.
The whole yacht market have seen significantprice reductions on vessels of all shapes and sizes. With prices continuing to drop, buyers have started to become increasingly active in the market.
Until now, BGYB has experienced a very similar year in 2011 to that of 2010. We have enjoyed continued success in all aspects of our business which has been very exciting for us in this challenging time.

Only one year after the substantial downturn in the market, the tail end of 2009 brought about a steady increase in industry turnover for certain sizes of yacht, both motor and sail.
