Designed by FINOT CONQ Architects and built by JMV & Marine Composite, RAUCOUS is a next-generation Open 53 launched in 2023. With her carbon hull, canting keel, and high-end equipment, this performance cruiser-racer combines speed, easy handling, and comfort—perfect for sailing in the Mediterranean or across oceans.
RAUCOUS features full carbon construction, ensuring both lightness and stiffness. This advanced build results in outstanding sailing performance while providing durability and structural strength. She delivers thrilling speed sensations and remains easy to handle, even shorthanded or solo.
The interior layout is optimized for 6 to 7 guests and includes 4 cabins, a full bathroom, a practical galley with refrigerator, and a comfortable saloon. Perfectly suited for fast coastal cruising or long offshore passages.
RAUCOUS is equipped with top-tier B&G electronics, including radar, GPS, autopilot, AIS, and Starlink satellite phone. Energy systems include a BALMAR alternator, lithium service batteries, and a VICTRON charger/inverter, offering excellent autonomy at sea.
All sail controls are centralized under the coachroof, enhancing ease of handling. The aft section of the cockpit remains clear for added comfort at sea or at anchor. The flush deck is free of fittings, ensuring easy and safe movement on board.
