Designed by the Scottish naval architects G.L. Watson & Co. THEMARA was built according to the traditional lines to Lloyds class by Ailsa Shipbuilding, Troon, Scotland in 1962. She has cruised extensively in all latitudes including a circumnavigation starting in 1988 ! This compact ocean-going yacht has a top speed of 11.0 knots. Themara is now anchored in Southern France, where considerable money has been spent on refitting her to a high standard of finish : the original windows are restored, all the instruments updated, her interior has been completely rebuilt in a timeless style using varnished mahogany...
