Swan 78 for Sale: A Second Price Reduction

Built in 2007 by the Finnish yard Nautor Swan and designed by naval architect Bill Tripp, VALKYRIE is a 23.99 m Swan 78 Custom with a carbon hull and superstructure, conceived for offshore racing as much as for long-distance cruising. Her lifting keel, modern sail plan and 5.70 m beam give her stability and easy handling, even with a reduced crew. She accommodates 8 guests in 4 cabins, three of them en suite, with a separate crew cabin and independent access. Lying in Marseille under the French flag and built to CE Commercial Yacht standards, this Swan 78 sees her asking price move from €1,350,000 to €1,150,000 Ex VAT.

A Swan 78 Custom Designed by Bill Tripp

VALKYRIE left the Finnish yard Nautor Swan in 2007. Bill Tripp is credited with both her naval architecture and her design: she measures 23.99 m in length and 5.70 m in beam, with a 2.80 m draft. Her hull and superstructure are both built in carbon fibre, a choice that favours lightness and stiffness. This Swan 78 Custom belongs to that family of Nautor Swan yachts built for offshore work, where sailing performance does not come at the expense of comfort on board.

Racing Yacht for Sale: A Second Price Reduction

Her asking price has been revised for the second time. Following a first adjustment from €1,500,000 to €1,350,000 announced on 4 March 2026, this Swan 78 Custom is now offered at €1,150,000 Ex VAT, €350,000 below the original asking price. She sails under the French flag and is built to CE Commercial Yacht standards, a configuration that leaves the door open to a charter programme as much as to strictly private use.

Carbon Hull, Lifting Keel and Short-Handed Sailing

Her lifting keel serves two purposes: offshore performance and access to shallow anchorages. Combined with the carbon hull and a modern sail plan, it forms a platform that keeps its stability and handling even with a reduced crew. Auxiliary power comes from a 220 hp YANMAR 4LHA-DTP, rated at 116 kW, giving 8.5 knots cruising and 12 knots maximum. Fuel capacity of 1,500 litres and fresh water capacity of 1,200 litres complete a set-up built for long-distance cruising.

A Panoramic Saloon and Four Cabins for Eight Guests

The raised saloon of this Swan 78 Custom is filled with natural light and opens onto 360-degree views, an arrangement rarely found on a sailing yacht of this size. Her interior, in light wood with high-end finishes, welcomes 8 guests across 4 cabins, three of them with en-suite facilities. The owner's suite sits forward, with a desk and an independent shower room, while a separate crew cabin with its own access preserves everyone's privacy. Six MARINE AIR SYSTEM air conditioning units serve the yacht.
