  • Day 1 Honiara, Guadalcanal

Board your yacht in Honiara, the capital of the Solomon Islands and a practical starting point for exploring the archipelago. Once clear of the harbour, set course north and settle into life on board. The waters surrounding Guadalcanal carry significant wartime history, making this first passage an introduction to both the destination and its remarkable past.

  • Day 2 Florida Islands

Cruise towards the Florida Islands, one of the more established cruising areas in the Solomon Islands. Coral reefs, accessible anchorages and wartime wreck sites create an ideal first full day on the water. Swim, explore beneath the surface and discover the diving that has made the archipelago such a distinctive destination for underwater exploration.

  • Day 3 Russel Islands

Continue towards the Russell Islands, a group of low, densely forested islands separated by sheltered waterways. Anchor in calm surroundings and take the tender through narrow channels where rainforest reaches almost to the water. Swimming and diving complete a day centred on exploring one of the archipelago’s quiet and naturally protected cruising areas.

    Russel Islands
  • Day 4 Marovo Lagoon

Enter Marovo Lagoon and begin to appreciate the scale of its extensive reef system. Anchor beside an uninhabited island before exploring coral walls and reefs beneath the surface. Kayaks and paddleboards provide another way to move between the islands and experience the contrast between sheltered turquoise water, tropical forest and the surrounding barrier reef.

    Marovo Lagoon
  • Day 5 Uepi Islands

Set course for Uepi, a rainforest-covered barrier-reef island in Marovo Lagoon. Sheltered lagoon waters lie on one side, while the other drops dramatically into The Slot, reaching depths of around 2,000 metres. This extraordinary setting places some of the region’s most celebrated diving within a short tender ride of the yacht’s anchorage.

    Uepi Islands
  • Day 6 Mbulo Island

Spend the day discovering the underwater scenery around Mbulo Island. Dramatic coral walls draped with immense gorgonian sea fans create some of the Western Province’s most striking dive landscapes. After the morning beneath the surface, slow the pace among the surrounding islands with time for swimming, relaxation and enjoying the yacht at anchor.

    Mbulo Island
  • Day 7 Peava Village

Step ashore at Peava, a traditional village on the edge of Marovo Lagoon. The area is particularly known for its wood carving, a skill practised by local artisans and closely associated with the region. Meet the craftspeople, discover their work and purchase pieces directly, providing a personal introduction to the traditions and culture surrounding the lagoon.

    Peava Village
  • Day 8 Mane Island and Honiara

Enjoy a relaxed final day at anchor in Mane Island Bay, with swimming and water sports among the surrounding islands. Spend the last hours of the itinerary enjoying the water and peaceful setting before leaving the Western Province. Set course overnight towards Honiara, arriving back in the capital for disembarkation the following morning.
