STERNA

Designed by the renowned naval architect German Frers, STERNA is a SWAN 53 built by Nautor, a sailboat that combines elegance, performance, and comfort. Launched in 1988, this yacht has been fully refitted and prepared for the Ocean Globe Race 2023, ensuring exceptional reliability and robustness. Its 2.30 m draft allows for easy access to anchorages while maintaining excellent sailing performance.

After competing in the Cape 2 Rio 2023, sailing from Cape Town to Rio de Janeiro, STERNA then continued its journey to France and the United Kingdom, passing through Recife, Saint Lucia, and the Azores. Its offshore racing pedigree is a testament to its outstanding seaworthiness and optimized design for long-distance sailing.

The interior, designed to accommodate up to 8 guests, features four elegant and functional cabins, including a spacious aft cabin with a double bed, two forward cabins with bunk beds, a large saloon that seats eight guests and a well-equipped galley with a double stainless-steel sink, oven, and four-burner stove.
The navigation area includes a classic chart table, a full Raymarine electronic system, an Echomax radar, an AIS Class B, and an ICOM M802 SSB radio.
