Discover ASAHI (ex-OCEAN'S SEVEN²), a 31.80m aluminium sloop built in 1998 by the French shipyard Trehard to a design by Jacques Fauroux. Conceived for an experienced owner and professionally maintained from the start, this oceangoing sailing yacht has recorded 15 knots reaching and up to 23 knots surfing downwind. A major refit in 2019/2020 renewed her engine, generators, rigging and electronics. On deck, a vast central cockpit seats 10 to 12 guests, while below a light birch interior welcomes up to 8 guests in 4 en-suite cabins.
Oceangoing Aluminium Sloop Built for Performance
Built by Trehard to a Jacques Fauroux design, ASAHI is an aluminium sailing yacht conceived for offshore sailing. She has recorded 15 knots reaching and up to 23 knots surfing downwind, a rare turn of speed for a 104ft sloop.
Four Convertible En-Suite Cabins for Eight Guests
Each of the four guest cabins can be set up with twin beds or a king-size bed. The two forward cabins can be combined into a spacious owner's suite with two bathrooms, adapting to every group of guests.
Central Cockpit and Separate Helm Station
A vast central cockpit with a table for 10 to 12 guests is dedicated to open-air dining and relaxation, apart from the sail-handling area. A dedicated helm cockpit aft gives direct access to the crew quarters.
Carbon Rig and Hydraulic Sail Handling
ASAHI carries an Espace Composite carbon-fibre rig, an Incidence sail wardrobe and hydraulic sail-handling systems, all supporting her sailing performance.
Refitted in 2019/2020 and Carefully Maintained
A major refit in 2019/2020 brought a new 380 HP Cummins engine, new generators, replacement standing rigging and upgraded electronics and interiors. A shipyard period in Genoa in 2022 added new antifouling and anodes.
