RECLUTA: heritage, elegance, performance

Originally drawn in 1942 by German Frers Sr. and revived in 2015 by German Frers Jr., RECLUTA is a truly unique vintage ketch. Built by hand in Argentina by Tito Szyka using noble South American woods, she combines classic charm with high-level performance and comfort. A standout in iconic classic regattas like Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez and Cannes, RECLUTA is now available for sale in Barcelona.

Legendary historical design
RECLUTA revives a 1942 classic by German Frers Sr., blending elegant lines with authentic naval heritage. Her legacy dates back to the original RECLUTA built in 1901 by Camper & Nicholsons, giving her unmatched pedigree and prestige.

Premium handcrafted construction
Every element was handcrafted by Tito Szyka’s team in Buenos Aires using South American woods like vivaró, cedro, and sitka spruce. Her fine detailing and high-end sailing hardware make her a showcase of artisanal yachtbuilding.

Excellent sailing performance
With a generous sail plan on a fractional ketch rig and a lifting keel (from 2.40 m to 4.50 m), RECLUTA is designed for agility and speed without compromising access to shallow waters. Her 33-ton light displacement supports top-class regatta capabilities.

Comfortable, stylish interiors
Inside, RECLUTA features an open saloon with integrated galley, two ensuite cabins, a forepeak berth, and up to nine sleeping spaces. Warm woods and smart layout create a welcoming and practical living environment.

Modern equipment in classic form
Behind her vintage look lies modern technology: a large lithium battery bank, watermaker, B&G navigation electronics, Gori overdrive propeller, and more—offering comfort and reliability for long-distance cruising or racing.
