  • Day 1 Arrival in Horta

    Begin your adventure in Horta, the legendary port for transatlantic sailors, surrounded by stunning volcanoes. Board your yacht at Marina da Horta, a colourful hub decorated with sailor murals. Explore the charming town, visit Peter Café Sport, and toast the start of your journey with a gin & tonic or local wine.

  • Day 2 Pico Island

    Sail across the channel to Pico, named after its impressive 2,351m volcano. Dock at Lajes do Pico, a former whaling port. Whales truly are the main attraction here, and you can Join a whale and dolphin watching trip and visit the Whaler’s Museum. If whales aren’t so much your thing, take some time to explore the lava tubes and natural swimming pools.

  • Day 3 São Roque

    Cruise north along the dramatic coastline to São Roque, with its old lava stone houses and basalt cliffs. Take a short inland excursion to the Lagoa do Capitão, or enjoy a more relaxed day with swimming, paddleboarding, or kayaking. Overnight near a protected anchorage or return to port.

  • Day 4 São Jorge

    Sail east to São Jorge, an island known for its green cliffs and fajãs (flat lands formed by lava flows). Dock at Velas, the picturesque main town. Enjoy a hike or bike ride to Fajã do Santo Cristo, a stunning, remote ring-shaped lagoon. Attracting surfers, this island is known for its laid-back atmosphere and slower pace of life.

  • Day 5 Terceira Island

    Terceira Island is steeped in impressive natural beauty, offering volcanic caves, unparallelled coastal views and luscious green vegetation. Yet, there is also another more human side to the island thanks to its cultural richness. Expect to be greeted by warm local hospitality and to engage in traditional activities, such as watching bullfights.

  • Day 6 Calheta

    Calheta is a traditional fishing village where time seems to stand still. This is the Azores at its most authentic, with rustic seafood tavernas and historic coffee plantations. Be sure to visit the natural lava pools for a truly immersive experience.

  • Day 7 Pico Vineyards

    Cross back to Pico Island and stop for a final wine experience among the UNESCO-listed Lava Vineyards of Criação Velha. From there, enjoy a relaxed sail back to Horta, stopping to swim or fish en route. Take in the last views of Mount Pico’s volcanic cone: an unforgettable silhouette.
