Motor Yacht · 24,70 m TILIKUM DELTA
TILIKUM DELTA is a 24.70m classic motor yacht built in 1963 by the Barsanti shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. Her mahogany planking on oak frames, her superstructure trimmed in mahogany and chestnut and her teak deck reflect a level of traditional boatbuilding craftsmanship that has become rare. Originally operated by a Belgian owner, then kept for many years by a Spanish family, this wooden yacht has been with her current owner for more than a decade.
She has benefited from an extensive refit. In 2017, her twin 240 HP Mercedes engines were completely rebuilt in situ, right down to the crankshaft. Between 2022 and 2024, the hull was fully re-caulked in the traditional way above and below the waterline, with new hemp driven between the planks, and every seam then received a bead of flexible silicone sealant before being double-primed and painted. Wherever the original iron fastenings had oxidised, they were replaced with stainless steel screws and galvanised nails. The result is a dry hull with no seepage.
On the main deck, the deckhouse brings together a varnished wood wheelhouse forward, with its original engine controls and a watch berth, the galley, and an aft saloon with dining area that retains its original teak floor and chestnut deckhead. A wide side deck runs from aft to the foredeck, and a large sheltered cockpit gives access to the flybridge.
Below deck, four cabins accommodate up to eight guests: a master suite forward with an ensuite bathroom and bathtub, two double cabins to port and starboard sharing a bathroom, also with a bathtub, and an aft cabin beyond the engine room with its own head. The crew enjoy two cabins in the forepeak. She is equipped with air conditioning throughout, a Sea Recovery watermaker and two generators, and her 7,000 l fuel capacity gives this classic yacht a range of 1,600 NM at 7.5 knots. A new Astec 380 RIB, two kayaks and diving equipment with a compressor complete her inventory.
