ZENO is a 2023 Outremer 55, a performance cruising catamaran from Grand Large Yachting Méditerranée – Outremer, designed by VPLP Design and built in reinforced composite in La Grande Motte. At 16.73 m with a beam of 8.30 m, she is certified CE Category A (Ocean) for 8 persons and combines genuine offshore capability with the comfort expected for long-range cruising.
Her offshore layout offers four double cabins, two forward and two aft, each with its own ensuite. The saloon opens onto a large cockpit, the saloon table converts into an additional berth and the cockpit table into a lounger. The island galley is equipped with induction cooking, an Isotherm fridge and freezer, a 100 L/h watermaker and a washing machine, while air-conditioning serves the saloon and two cabins.
Under sail, ZENO is built to perform. Her fixed carbon mast with Kevlar shrouds carries a full North Sails 3Di wardrobe, from mainsail and self-tacking jib to staysail, Code Zero, gennaker and spinnaker, for an upwind sail area of 152 m². 24V Harken electric winches at the working stations and a Line Driver captive winch for the mainsheet make handling easy for a small crew, while two Volvo Penta D2-60 engines with saildrives and folding three-blade propellers provide propulsion.
Navigation relies on a Garmin package with two GPSMAP 8412xsv chartplotters, radar, VHF/AIS, wind instruments, forward-looking sonar and autopilot, completed by Iridium Certus 200 satellite broadband, a Pepwave 5G router, Starlink and an Ocean Signal EPIRB. A Mastervolt lithium house bank, 2,090 W of solar panels and a 10 kW Fisher Panda generator, new in 2026, give her real energy independence.
In 2024-2025, ZENO returned to the builder's refit service, Grand Large Services, for a full refit completed in October 2025. The works included structural repairs to the hull, carried out to the builder's specifications and to the requirements of the appointed surveyor and insurers, and are covered by a 24-month yard warranty, valid until 1 October 2027 and transferable to the buyer. She lies in Port Camargue, France.
