Racing Yacht · 15,85 m TEASING MACHINE (TP52)
TEASING MACHINE is a 15.85 m TP52 Super Series racing yacht designed by Botin Partners and built in 2017 by the Longitud Cero shipyard to the 52 Super Series rule. Originally launched as Interlodge, she was acquired by Team Gladiator in 2017 and is now the team's current Super Series boat. In 2023 she finished 4th overall at the Super Series Championship and 3rd at the TP52 Worlds, confirming her place as the most performing TP52 on the market.
Her prepreg carbon fibre and epoxy hull and deck, cored in Nomex foam, follow the Botin and Pure Engineering TP52 design. Internal transverse and longitudinal stiffeners were added in winter 2017/2018 and deck stringers in 2019/2020, while a 2024 black and light grey hull paint, a 2026 white non-skid deck and a new light grey sea deck keep her presentation sharp. Two keels are available: the 2017 fin with 2019 bulb, and a brand-new fin and bulb due for delivery in November 2026.
The rig package is largely renewed for 2026. A 2017 Southern Spars carbon mast with triple spreaders and a carbon boom are supported by new RAZR standing rigging (delivery November 2026), 2026 Carbolink runners and a complete Marlow and TT Rigging Grand Prix running rigging package, with a spare set of EC6 rigging better suited to coastal or offshore racing. The sail inventory from North Sails and Quantum Sails covers up to 165 m² upwind and 435 m² downwind.
On deck, Harken hardware drives the performance: four Air250 winches, two Air300 backstay winches added in 2026, a Protrim system and a hydraulic system serviced by an authorised Harken centre. Wheel steering is fitted, with a tiller option that saves 30 kg. The electronics were completely overhauled in 2023 and include Garmin displays and two B&G masthead wind units. A Yanmar 57 hp engine with Sail Drive SD60 and Tori Grand Prix propeller gives 7.5 knots at cruising speed. Hull, structure, appendages, mast and boom are analysed yearly by non-destructive testing, and TEASING MACHINE is offered with two 40 ft HC containers fitted as a workshop and sail storage, plus extensive spares, race-ready to bring any new campaign to the forefront.
