ERNEST
The racing yacht ERNEST, built by MULTIPLAST in France and designed by VPLP Design, is a state-of-the-art Class 40 launched in October 2021. It is one of the best models available on the market, benefiting from the latest technological innovations and high-quality construction. Having competed in the 2022 Route du Rhum, it is ready to take on the next major ocean races, delivering outstanding performance and proven reliability.
With an overall length of 12.18 m, a maximum beam of 4.50 m, and a draft of 3.00 m, ERNEST is designed to optimize speed and stability on the open sea. Its full composite construction ensures an optimal strength-to-weight ratio.
Built for offshore racing, ERNEST features a well-protected cockpit, a four-person life raft, and an EPIRB beacon valid until 2028. Its grab bag includes a portable Iridium phone with a backup battery, a portable VHF, a SART radar, and a portable GPS.
