WHIMSEA is a 30.50-metre carbon composite sloop, a CNB 100 launched in 2009 by the French yard CNB to designs by Luca Brenta & Co. Formerly named CHRISCO, this custom sailing yacht stands out for her futuristic silhouette, with sleek, uninterrupted lines crowned by a glass coachroof that has become her signature. Award-winning for both her exterior design and her interior, entrusted to Wetzels Brown Partners, WHIMSEA combines high performance under sail with genuine blue-water cruising comfort.
Her owner, a true connoisseur who has owned many prestigious sailing yachts, has retained the same captain for eighteen years, and this loyalty shows in the meticulous care WHIMSEA has received every winter: a new teak deck and renewed electronics in 2016, followed by a brand-new engine in 2026.
On deck, her lines remain remarkably pure, with every sail control hydraulically assisted. Her carbon mast and boom, paired with a full North Sails and Millenium wardrobe, promise an exhilarating feel at either of her twin titanium wheels. The spacious, sheltered cockpit, protected by a removable carbon hard top, opens onto a swim platform and a garage housing the tender. Under power, this sloop cruises at 10 knots with a range of 1,450 nautical miles.
Beneath the glass coachroof, the saloon is bathed in natural light: a contemporary, minimalist interior with the dining table to starboard facing generous sofas to port. This sailing yacht welcomes seven guests in three cabins, an owner's stateroom and two double cabins, one with a Pullman berth, served by three guest bathrooms.
