Her later life saw her training merchant navy cadets in seamanship and navigation for 30 years as a sail training ship at the School of Navigation in Warsash. She has been a private yacht since 1986 in 2006 the present owners gave her an extensive refit at the shipyard of T Nielsen and Co in Gloucester.
